How It Works |
|
All models of the Mosquito Magnet™
are bio-engineered for the feeding characteristics of
mosquitoes. Female mosquitoes are attracted to potential
blood hosts through carbon dioxide and humidity given off by
human and animal bodies. The Mosquito Magnet™
uses combustion of propane in the presence of a catalyst to emit
large quantities of carbon dioxide and moisture.
Mosquitoes are attracted to the unit, where they get sucked up
inside to a net where they dehydrate and die. No electric
killing grid or pesticides are used. There is no noise or
odor. The unit works continuously, 24 hours per day, and
has been tested by the U.S.D.A. |

Success Stories |
| There
are many success stories regarding both residential and
commercial applications of the Mosquito Magnet™.
One example was reported in the New York Times. It
involved the Coast Guard's station in the Bahamas, which had
become completely uninhabitable due to swarming mosquitoes.
Six traps captured a million-and-a-half mosquitoes in only six
days. The Coast Guard was able to reclaim the use of the
